Itamar Elhanany - Brief Bio

Itamar Elhanany has received the B.Sc. (1995), M.Sc. (1998) and Ph.D. (2003) degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering and the M.B.A. (2002) degree, all from the Ben-Gurion University in Israel. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. During 2000-2003 he was with TeraCross, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company developing Terabit/sec switch fabric integrated circuits, where he held several key positions including chief scientist.

Dr. Elhanany has received the Department of Energy (DOE) Early Career Principal Investigator (CAREER) award in August 2004. His primary research interests include high-performance networking (switch architectures, packet scheduling algorithms, performance analysis), wireless sensor networks and machine learning.
